McMinn Clinic - Margaret Pittenger
Bio- Margaret J. Pittenger MSPT RYT200Ms. Pittenger has been a Physical Therapist for 39 years. She graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit in 1970. She received her master's degree in PT Education from IUPUI in Indianapolis in 1976.
She has been involved in all venues of physical therapy across her career including teaching at several universities . She has been in private practice since 1984 and added the philosophy of FELDENKRAIS work becoming a practitioner in 1992. Somatic movement work has allowed Ms. Pittenger to be more efficient at reducing pain, changing postural issues and balance across the whole spectrum of her clients. Working with clients teaching gentle movement to reduce pain and postural issues is her passion.
Ms. Pittenger was voted the best clinician for two years by her peers at NOVA CARE and best teacher of the year by her students at Virginia College. She is currently involved in research and educational programs to help women understand natural ways to heal Osteoporosis and to exercise well without pain.
Ms. Pittenger is a sailor and enjoys the growing stories of her twin grandsons. In 2009 she graduated from a 200 HR. Yoga teacher training school and has started teaching Yoga and Breath classes at the Dr. McMinn Clinic.
